CHRISTMAS WREATH

This Christmas wreath can be used in a card or as an ornament for your Christmas tree.

The wreath is composed of leaves, a bow with hanging ribbon, and ornaments.

All the paper strips used in this project are 3 mm wide but of different colors and lengths.

These are the basic materials that you will need:

Now I will show you how I did each component.

LEAF

For each leaf you will need a 20 cm long strip of green paper.

1. Take the paper and roll it into a loose circle.

2. Take the loose and shape it into a marquise.

For my wreath I used 19-20 leaves.

BOW

The bow has 2 loops and a hanging ribbon.

LOOPS

1. For each loop you will need a 20 cm long paper strip.
2. Roll the strip into a loose circle.
3. Take the loose circle and shape it into a teardrop.
4. Glue the teardrops according to the picture.

 HANGING RIBBON

1. Take a 5 cm long  paper strip.
2. Fold the strip into a “V” shape.
3. Glue the ribbon to the teardrops like the picture.

ORNAMENT

Take a 10 cm long strip of the color of your choice
Roll the strip into a tight circle.

Congratulations! You have finished your ornament!

Make as many ornaments of the color of your choice, as you think that you will need for your project. In  my case I needed 9 ornaments.

ASSEMBLY

1. Draw a circle 4.5 cm in diameter
2. Glue the ribbon as shown in the picture
3. Glue the leaves around the circle.
4. Continue gluing all the leaves until you went all around the circle.

This is how your wreath should look like.

4. Glue the ornaments where you think that they will look pretty.

Congratulations!  You have completed your first Christmas wreath.
