Today I will show you two different methods to create your presents, which you can use for a Christmas or a Birthday card.

All the shapes were done in 3mm wide strips. 

These are the basic materials that you will need: 

METHOD 1

 For this method, these are the shapes that you will need.

Once you have all the shapes, you are going to "wrap them" by doing the following:

 Next you are going to make and glue the bows.

 Finally, you are going to arrange and glue the presents in any fashion that will look good in your project. 

This is how I placed the presents.

 METHOD 2

Now I will show you a second way for making your presents. 

 


For the bow you will make 2 teardrops. You will need a 15 cm long strip for each. Then glue them together.

There, you are finished!

CHRISTMAS LIGHTS

 

These Christmas lights can be used to decorate a wreath, a garland, or to make a string of lights. You can find a tutorial to make a wreath and a garland at the following link

All the strips used in this project are 3 mm wide but of different lengths and colors.

Each "light" is composed of a bulb and a base.  

 

Now I will explain how to make each component. 

BULB

1. Take a paper strip of your preferred color and cut it into 10 cm long pieces

 

2. Roll each strip into a loose circle

 3. Take the loose circle and shape it into a teardrop

BASE

 

1. Take a green paper strip and cut it into 5 cm long pieces 


 2. Roll each short strip into a “C” scroll

ASSEMBLY
 

 


Glue each bulb on to a base.

Congratulations!  You have made the first Christmas light!

Make as many Christmas lights as you need for your project.
